The Core System is a modular furniture system based on Unistrut components and reclaimed hollow core doors. Born out of the recession-era of 2009, our concept was to create a flexible furniture system that could be made entirely from reclaimed building materials.
In addition to utilizing elements from deconstructed buildings, later projects also incorporated reclaimed urban hardwoods—another abundant resource that frequently ends up in the landfill—to bring a richer materiality to the design.
