Working With EPIC: Introducing "Tutoring Chicago"

Wow! What a whirlwind! Eight weeks went by in a flash. I am very happy to say that the organization that used to be The Cabrini Green Tutoring Program will now be known as Tutoring Chicago. The process of creating the new name and logo was an adventure! We came up with literally dozens of prospective names, and narrowed the dozens down to a final four; Tutoring Chicago made the cut as the future name for the organization during an energetic and enthusiastic board meeting.

After choosing the name, we moved on to developing concepts for the logo. We explored forms that evoked the core values of the organization, an interest in growing into new neighborhoods, its connection and history in Chicago, and of course, its mission of education. We developed so many fantastic options! I was really impressed by the work done by everyone on this team. I am also extremely proud to say that the logo I designed was chosen as the final option! Hooray! Many thanks to the support from the team, and to creative director Chris Eichenseer from Some Odd Pilot for all of his help and feedback.

Beyond the name and the logo, Chicago Tutoring was also given a collection of amazing photos taken by Anjali Pinto, who worked as the photographer on our team. These photos are outstanding ... check them out here.

I can't say enough about the amazing people who were on my team, and the great experience that I had working with EPIC. If you want to learn more about the process that we went through, as well as see the results of another EPIC rally team that worked on a project for a different organization at the same time, you should come join us at the Beauty Bar on March 22nd at 6:30pm.
Hope to see you there!
